To further provide further help and assistance to our customers, we have appointed a fleet/contracts advisor. We’ve put together a package to help companies during the headache of dealing with insurance companies. The last thing you want to do is sit on the phone for what seems like a lifetime waiting to talk to an insurance claims handler.

Supporting the local community

Mr Rob Ally, company director and owner of XL Motors, has been in business now for over 25 years and over that time has helped thousands of customers. Rob is well known within Coventry and enjoys getting involved and supporting the community wherever possible.

Rob loves sport, in particular football and sponsors a young amateur football team named Alvis FC to help youngsters enjoy the sport regularly. In 2007 Rob also ran the Great North Run, raising over £2,000 for the British Heart Foundation charity. Rob was inspired to do the run after his father had major heart surgery, and after months of training and gathering the kind support of friends, family, colleagues & clients, he successfully completed the 13 mile race. Rob’s other passion is Coventry City FC and was extremely pleased when Dele Adebola received the sponsor money on behalf of The British Heart Foundation.

XL Motors to the rescue

We are pleased to offer a recovery service with our own recovery transporter. Should you be involved in an accident we can pick your vehicle up and bring it back to XL Motors Ltd in Coventry, making sure you’re not left in difficulties by the roadside.

Recently, XL helped out one lucky young lady in just this way. The lady in question was visiting Coventry for an interview when someone drove into the back of her car. One quick call to XL and we recovered her and the car, then took the lady to her interview. By the time she came out of her interview, we had arranged and taken delivery of a like for like loan car that she then used to go home to Derby. She kept this replacement vehicle until the repairs to her car were complete when she collected her own car restored back to pristine condition. And of course all this was free of charge to her.

She thought we were her knight in shinning armour, but it was just another day’s work for XL Motors Ltd. We put our customers first.

XL Motors is setting the standard when it comes to accident repairs. We have recently been accredited by the BSI and are proud to say our workshop and technicians have passed with flying colours. We are one of only a small number of body shops who hold the specialist The Thatcham BSI Kitemark® for vehicle body repairs.

This is good news for our customers who can be confident that they’ll receive the very best quality service at all times. All areas of our business met the strict specifications laid down by the BSI; The Thatcham BSI Kitemark® is based on a stringent technical specification (PAS 125) which deals with the processes and procedures directly related to the repair of accident damaged vehicles. Amongst many other rules, the Kitemark means all our technicians must be qualified to NVQ 3, and safe working practices followed at all times.
